When curiosities arise about the origins of my company name you need look no further than my name: Tiantian Tan. I was born and raised in Beijing, where at the modest age of 3 Zǔfù, or Grandfather, who was a professional sports photographer himself, introduced me to the art of capturing the contrasts and compromises of dark and light through photography.
In 2007, at the age of 22, I left my home in Beijing for Austin but, my longing for home was short-lived as I had discovered a wonderful new city to call home. The Austin hill country captivated my soul, and flooded my heart with the vibrant blues, reds, and yellows of spring and summer.
I’m passionate about capturing the intricacies of timeless moments, as well as the intertwined personalities of couples. With a sharp eye for composition and a diverse artistic taste in styles I can create never-ending memories from the brevities of life. I specialize in using natural light to create the most elegant images. I retouch, but never over-edit images because capturing moments is not about how well a photographer can edit images, but rather about being at the right place at the right time, and seizing a moment in time.
